About the artist
Jayashri Triolo
Jayashri Triolo is a multidisciplinary artist and designer specializing in large-scale oil paintings. Dancing around her studio with paintbrushes, pens, canvases, recycled wood, books, and pure inspiration, she creates unique and meaningful work for a wide range of clients.
She earned her way through school with a fine arts degree from Columbus College of Art & Design by enlisting in the National Guard, working as a graphics arts specialist. It was in art school that she found her path in the Bhakti tradition, a devotional practice that has shaped her work ever since.
Her recent paintings draw on Vedic philosophy and the iconography of the deities, translating spiritual traditions and universal truths into contemporary form. She works for the essence of a subject rather than its literal likeness.
Today she paints from a home studio among the abundant nature and magnificent redwoods of Cazadero, California.

The Series
A spiritual journey, in 9 panels
Her nine-part Series began as a course in her own spiritual journey, built on Vedic astrology, where each planet rules a part of our being and carries a color and an element. Each panel holds one of those forces.
